If you live around Bloomfield, Newark, or Clifton, NJ, then you're already aware of the big question of 2020: Should you go with the Subaru Crosstrek or the Kia Sportage? We can help you…

At first glance, these two midsize SUVs are quite similar. However, upon digging deeper, there are several differences that we can't ignore. That's why our Lynnes Subaru team wrote this comparison.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any further questions. Until then, keep reading…

Subaru Crosstrek vs Kia Sportage: Performance

The engineering wonders on the Subaru Crosstrek wow drivers with the following features. High-strength steel body construction, Active Torque Vectoring, Symmetrical AWD, and more will ensure that you're able to go practically anywhere with ease, comfort, and a sense of safety. But how about the Sportage?

Unfortunately, we can't say that the 2020 Kia is quite as capable in this department. Its most recent fuel-economy ratings are even significantly inferior to its competitor's. The new Crosstrek gets up to an EPA-estimated 27 city/33 highway MPG, as opposed to the new Sportage, which only gets up to 23 city/30 highway MPG.

2020 Crosstrek vs 2020 Sportage: Spaciousness and Seating

Of course, another major reason that people decide to go with any sort of sport utility vehicle is so that they can have as much room as possible for friends, family, pets, cargo, and just about anything else. So, it's only fitting that the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek would provide you with so much space. Check it all out!

Crosstrek vs Sportage: Climate Control

Standard on every Crosstrek you will find an automatic climate control system that allows you to customize the temperature by using voice-activation mechanisms. The Sportage also features a similar automatic temperature control system, but only on the EX and SX Turbo trims.

Technology: Safety and Security

Both vehicles take safety and security seriously when it comes to protecting your car from theft. While the Crosstrek offers available Keyless Access with Push-Button Start and PIN-Code Access for the Premium trim and standard for the Limited and Hybrid trim levels, the Sportage features a less sophisticated remote keyless entry without any code to protect the owner.

The Crosstrek anti-theft security system and engine immobilizer-which does not allow a key without the proper electronic code to start the car-comes standard. The Sportage Smart Key with Push-Button Start and Immobilizer only comes standard on the EX and SX Turbo trims and has an option for the S trim level.
