What is the Conventional Oil & Filter Change Service all about?
A conventional oil and filter change are one of the most common maintenance services required for your Subaru or any other vehicle. This maintenance is required regularly for the continued performance of your car and the proper operation of the engine. The oil is used to lubricate the engine and allow it to properly function. Because the oil is moving through the engine and capturing and dirt and particles, it is preventing corrosion under the hood and eliminating rust. The oil is also accompanied by a filter that catches some of these particles and filters out the oil back into the engine as clean as possible. During the oil change, this filter is also replaced to ensure that the new oil is sent through the engine as clean as possible.
Why should I have it done?
Maintaining regular oil changes in your Subaru is necessary and essential to the quality of your vehicle. Oil changes should be performed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or every three months. Regular oil changes supplement a number of operations in the engine and keep it lubricated. Because the oil is constantly moving through the engine, it is guaranteed to break down over time.
